The prototype is somewhat successful in its current state. The laser cut top and bottom plates work nicely as a frame and mount the servo motors in appropriate positions. The catapult arm itself, also laser cut, works properly and demonstrates smooth motion. The groups biggest issue is properly controlling the servos to work in accordance with each other.
Here is a video go-around of our prototype. The servo filmed moving is the motor for loading the elastic band (not shown) to pull the catapult arm. The rear servo filmed not moving will release the spring-loaded arm.
